I wouldn't know where to begin with this. ”Why not have the database send emails directly out to Microsofts outgoing server instead of THROUGH Outlook?” NP Hans, your not having an idea makes me feel better that there is no way I'll figure it out IT has posted it to forums they use and the suggestion came back from a few to change the code to bypass outlook and use SMTP code via Microsoft. MsgBox "We can't start Outlook, sorry!", vbCritical Set outApp = CreateObject(Class:="Outlook.Application") Set outApp = GetObject(Class:="Outlook.Application") First, do you recall the name of the software and second would it prevent the error that is coming up in the msgbox below? Note, they get the error even if Outlook is already running. When you gave me this code you recommended a software called Click It or something like that ran in the background and prevented issues with Outlook being managed from Access. They run an Access Database that among other things auto sends emails from Access via Outlook using the code below. I have user whose office just upgraded their computers and software.
